This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by an outtake from the film Gone With The Wind that never made it to the final film.
I used a 16-inch Scarlett O'hara doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company. I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Vivien Leigh as Scarlett from that particular scene.
The doll's hair has been completely restyled.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes
(Note: I am not in any way affiliated with the Tonner Doll company)
i think she looks absolutely gorgeous great job as usual, but for some reason i think her eyes are too brown. Vivien was always known to have these gorgeous cat like eyes with a Blue-Green color, sometimes violet in most lighting but besides that its gorgeous.
I think the Scarlett re-paint dolls are my favourites out of them all, but that's me being biased. lol
You're amazing!!
