When I heard that Amazon was releasing exclusive dolls of Tonner Company's Bella Swan and Edward Cullen at the prom, I could not resist the opportunity to create these versions of Twilight's famous couple from the popular final scene of the movie.
Bella Swann is a 15-inch doll by Robert Tonner. Full facial repaint and shading as well as extensive hair style make over to replicate the features of Kristen Stewart from Twilight, particularly the prom scene. I wanted to capture the character's pensive expression as she implores Edward to make her immortal.
The inset photo on the bottom portion shows the mass produced version of the Bella Swan as it was originally released for Amazon.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person's likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

I think this doll is beautiful and extremely life like. The attention to detail is amazing. And there are plenty of people out there that DO care. Just look at the book and movie sales alone.
I hate this series, but I cannot help but fawn over your incredible skill to paint a plastic doll to look exactly like kristen stewart. Like.. this is unbelievable. This is INHUMAN skill.
God, those dolls are ugly as hell. (the original factory dolls, because obviously, his dolls are... wow. There are just not enough synonyms for AMAZINGLY AWESOME to adequetly describle it)
