My utlimate favorite male superhero. I really applaud the workmanship that Hot Toys put into this miniature replica of Christopher Reeve. This custom paint job only involves partial repaint to enhance the features and make minor adjustments. I thought the original version's eyes were slightly looking up so I corrected that. Also added 3D shading to his facial features. Lastly, I gave his spit curl some minor adjustment.

hi, my supes has a bit of chipped paint on his neck because of his chin rubbing down on it. I was wondering if there was any easy way of fixing this?

Wow! This is very impressive, I think you did a better job on the skin texture and subtle colouring than the factory version. You have provided me with inspiration to work hard, thanks! Keep it up :D

So real looking I expect him to take a breath. What a wonderful tribute to Christopher Reeve too. He really was perfect for the part and was an inspiration as he handled his tragedy with grace. You did a wonderful job with this repaint. So subtle, but it really brought this figure to life.

Your work really gave it a more realistic look but I have to say the factory one is one of the better looking I have seen.

you gotta admit, for a doll the factory paints were actually pretty good, they must have gone a little more expensive on the artist for this one :D

For a change, the factory paints weren't bad at all, but your level of detail bumps 'really good' up to 'amazing'. The original's eyes seem to slightly be looking in different directions, so that correction alone looks great. The added shading to the lips are another big difference.

the original one looks pretty darn good on its own, but when we see it next to the reworked one, it does seem like it's missing a bit of...life

the Original for a mass produced version has a REALLY strong likeness far better then I think about any I've looked at. They did great work. That said, I don't think your version looks more like Reeves just referenced from a different source perhaps. Your alteration looks very good as well, I prefer your eyes and the extra hint color to his skin but perhaps that's from your light source.

As a diehard Superman fan, bravo! You work in keeping Christopher Reeve's legacy is astonishing!!

I looked around on your site but I didn't see a link for this figurine anywhere. I saw that your 12" figures are $1000 and one day I'd love to afford that but how much does this figure in particular go for?

This is the first repaint from you I have seen in which the original did not look monstrous. Your work, is of course, always quite lovely, but it's interesting to see you work with one that was already rather nice to begin with.

It's amazing how just adding a little black around the eyes can make them stand out so much more.

Nice job.

I know you have done a lot more work on this than just the eyes, but that particular little bit of detail stands out very strong.
