We couldn't have an Arwen doll without her beloved mortal hero Aragorn. So here he is.
There is evidently more challenge with this repaint as I had to capture Viggo Mortensen 's likeness but infused with his character's essence. I wanted to replicate the rugged weather worn look and the appropriate expression.
Scaling down the hair took quite a bit of work as well as painting in the facial hair which had to be just the right amount and in the right places.
The inset photo on the bottom shows the mass produced version of the doll as it was originally released.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person's likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

Time and time again I come to visit your amazing gallery, and no matter how many times I see these dolls, it's always unbelievably incredible to behold. You are insanely talented, sir!
the original looks like one of those poorly done sculptures of Jesus... you did amazing with the repaint... I knew exactly who it was supposed to be BEFORE I saw any title or description. Amazing job
