This OOAK transformation was inspired by the successful and highly versatile pop artist Annie Lennox, formerly of Eurythmics fame and famous for her her ever-changing image both as an artist and a woman. The 2 images on the far right were used as reference in capturing the character's likeness.
I used a 16-inch Sybarite doll produced by Superdoll of London. Sybarites are high-end collector ball-jointed resin dolls that are capable of achieving lifelike poses.
Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.
-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes
(Note: I am not in any way affiliated with Superdoll - creator of this resin doll)
